Homestead Craft and Children's Fair
Our community celebrates the end of the harvest every year with our annual Thanksgiving fair. This exposition of the crafts, skills, accomplishments and life of our Christian craftsmen and children is held Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Activities abound for the entire family, including craft demonstrations, displays of home-school curriculum and handcrafted items, live bluegrass and gospel music, delicious food and many hands-on activities that give visitors an opportunity to experience the joy of craft.

Thousands each year come to our annual Homestead Craft and Children's Fair.
In the crisp autumn air local friends and neighbors and visitors from all
over the country and from around the world join to enjoy the jingling of
draft horse harnesses; the aroma of homemade tamales, hamburgers, pizza and
gorditas; children dipping candles, eating kettlecorn, spinning wool,
crafting wooden toy boats; the clanging on the blacksmith's anvil; barn
raisings; grinding wheat at the gristmill; choirs and orchestras under the
big tent—all this and so much more. This video, originally produced in
celebration of our twentieth annual Fair, will enable the viewer to not only
discover a little of the history behind the Fair but to also better
understand the vision and purpose that has inspired this happy event. If
you've already joined with the thousands of young and old alike who come out
to our Fair at Homestead Heritage each year, or if you're simply interested in a sustainable
homesteading and craft alternative, you'll appreciate what you learn—and we
hope you'll want to join us at the Fair.
